Meet the NUVI
Here at project ANTI-car we developed a vision of a new kind of personal urban commute vehicle that’s just like a car but cheaper and accessible to everyone – the NUVI.
NUVI (pronounced nuvi) stands for “New Urban Vehicle for Inclusion / Independence”.
NUVI costs under $5 000 brand new and offers everything that we actually want from a classic car to those of us who can’t or don’t want to pay what a new regular car costs.
But HOW is that possible???
A compromise done right
NUVI is an electric vehicle that’s just like a classic sedan but smaller and lighter. It has just two seats, the passenger seat is right behind the driver seat, so it’s essentially like a half of a classic car. It’s two times shorter, two times narrower and a little lower than a regular car, and several times lighter.
NUVI is built with widely available and affordable components, similar to those used in electric scooters, and makes use of progressive technologies found in modern electric cars.
NUVI is also a lot simpler than a regular car. It only includes the essentials required to safely, reliably, efficiently and comfortably commute in the urban environment. It has none of the complexities of gas-powered cars or the fluff of the luxury features.
So what does that boil down to?

The smaller size and weight, the choice of affordable components and a simple design make the production of NUVI a lot simpler and cheaper making its price very low.
But there’s more! Since NUVI is so simple, we don’t need a giant auto corporation to build it for us – we can easily do it ourselves! And that means that NUVI will never be monopolized and abused by making the profits THE priority over providing an affordable vehicle for everyone who needs it. Its price will never be made unnecessarily high.
NUVI brings freedom to the future of personal urban transportation and no one can take it away. It’s here, for you and me, for all of us who have been excluded and exploited by the current car market, and it’s here to stay!
